the first day of the last

i went in early to intern before my class today.
it was good to see the cozy little isotope office again.
it was very good to see the shelf full of bright blue, freshly printed winter issues. volume 3.2, brand new. i've only read half of the first essay, but it's great so far.

working at isotope has been one of my very favourite experiences. today it was little design fiddlings. i fixed a rogue typo on the website. i discussed with the managing editor, leslie brown, the possibilities of updating the website to comply with a more accessible CSS design. i pulled and poked and tweaked the sticks logo on our letterhead file until it looked like it was supposed to instead of all messed up like it somehow became over the last few months. i finished up the halfsheet letterheads the editor wanted for personal responses to submissions, printed out copies of those. i brainstormed design ideas for a little sample booklet we want to have ready for an upcoming conference.

i'm going to miss isotope.
i think it is going to miss me.

i don't even want to think about leaving, really.
