So, what is Modern Rhetorical Theory?
I expect to find out, but from what I've heard from students who've taken it already, it's basically learning about how the world makes use of words (and pictures and design etc.) to further their various goals. Advertising, for example. Or your biology text book. It's how they say what they say and why. does that make sense?
as for Specialized Documents... I have less of an idea of what I'll be doing in there. Probably practicing how to design pamphlets or flyers or reports and junk like that. I hope it's cool.
I still haven't bought books.
I am, in two words, blissfully unprepared.
