today i am working on a website. it's been a good long time since i did any decent webdesign/development work, being more caught up in working my first full-time job. that's a lot more graphic design and print work, and writing, and documentation, so i haven't had room for web work for a while. this site-in-progress is for my friend and colleague who is in the thoes of getting her very own catering business up and running. i'm excited about this not only because i really do love webdesign but because i honestly kind of miss being a caterer myself.
sure, i was an underpaid minion and not a gorgeous CEO/front-woman like Shae happens to be, but the whole industry is appealing to me. i once told a fellow student (back when i was a student) that i learned more about usability as a caterer than in any of my tech. classes. it's like spoons.
speaking of spoons,
i've opened up a brand new clean notebook (black, college ruled) for making starcustard notes and drafts.
starcustard chapter seven is writhing in complexity in that vortex of shared imaginative space between chris jordan and myself. i love it. the collaborative writing process is quite indescribably fun, not least of all when we have large-scale plot issues to work through and have to keep banging our heads into loophole after loophole until the ideas fall into place.
webdesigner and writer are only two bits of who i am, but they are interesting bits. more interesting than words like 'sister' or 'five feet tall' anyway.
